Local garage door repair

When a garage door quits, it usually quits at the worst time - the car is inside, you are already late, and the door is sitting three feet off the ground. Garage Door Repair Terre Haute handles that call in Terre Haute and the rest of Vigo County. Broken springs, snapped cables, doors off track, openers that hum and do nothing: those are the four jobs that make up most of our week.
We opened in 2014 because garage door work in the Wabash Valley was slow to show up and vague about price. Nate built Garage Door Repair Terre Haute around the opposite habits - a real answer on the phone, an arrival window that means something, and a number before the wrench comes out.

Broken torsion or extension spring? That is the one that traps your car.
Motor humming, remote dead, or the door reversing halfway down.
A new insulated door, measured, ordered and hung properly.
We cover Terre Haute first and work outward through Vigo County and the towns along the I-70 and US-41 crossing. If you are within about thirty miles and the door will not close, call - we would rather tell you honestly that we cannot make it today than leave you guessing.
Regular runs include West Terre Haute, Seelyville, Riley, Brazil, Clay City, Rosedale, Farmersburg, Shelburn, Sullivan, Clinton, Rockville, Cayuga and the rest of Vigo County.

A door stuck open overnight is a security problem, and we treat it as one.
We show you the broken part and explain what it does. No mystery, no jargon.
Whole-system inspection plus a stocked van is how a repair ends in one visit instead of three.
This is where we work and where our customers are. Reputation here travels faster than any advertising.
Four failures account for most of what we see in Terre Haute. A torsion spring snaps, and the door becomes too heavy for the opener or for you. A lift cable frays and jumps its drum, so one side rises and the other does not. Rollers seize and the door binds in the track, usually after a cold snap. Or the opener loses its drive gear and hums without lifting. None of those are DIY jobs once the door is loaded, and three of the four are same-day repairs when the parts are on the truck.
We take emergency calls outside normal hours. A door that will not close is a security problem, so it is worth ringing rather than waiting for Monday.
Sometimes. A single dented section on an otherwise sound door can often be replaced on its own if the model is still made. If it is not, we will price both the panel hunt and a new door.
We come back and put it right. Workmanship is guaranteed, and parts carry the manufacturer's warranty - we tell you which is which before fitting anything.
Garage doors last longer with about ten minutes of attention a year. Wipe the tracks, do not grease them. Put a little lithium grease on the hinges, rollers and the spring itself. Tighten the lag bolts on the track brackets, because the vibration of a few thousand cycles works them loose. And once a year, watch the door close with a block of wood under it - it should reverse the moment it touches. If it does not, the safety reverse needs adjusting, and that one matters.

Tell us what it is doing and whether a car is shut in. Most spring and cable jobs are finished the same day.
